of this region. Here you will find different alternatives
to get to the most interesting places: El Calafate,
Perito Moreno glacier and the other great glaciers
in the area of Lago Argentino, El Chaltén. |

car
From Río Gallegos: through Prov. Route No.5,
National Route No.40 and Prov. Route No.
11 (paved). The whole trip is of 320 km.
By
bus
From Río Gallegos: From Bus Terminal nearby
the Rio Gallegos International Airport (4
hs).
From Chile: Puerto Natales. Buses to El
Calafate in less than 5 hs.
By
plane
Direct to El Calafate International Airport,
from desde las ciudades más importantes
del país. Airlines: Aerolíneas Argentinas
– Austral, LAPA, LADE, SouthernWinds.

This
glacier is 78 Km. far from El Calafate.
Only by car or by bus, taking RP N° 11 ó
15. From Puerto Bandera, boat tours can
be taken to sail by the glacier. |

Only
by car.
From El Calafate: Through PR No.11 and then
NR No.40 and PR No. 23 that ends in Lago
del Desierto. The trip takes 4 hs, on a
gravy route with a half way stop at La Leona
(by the river of the same name) or in Estancia
Luz Divina, to take a fresh drink or taste
home made cakes.
From Río Gallegos: Through PR. No.5 (paved),
NR No.40 and PR No. 23 (grave). The whole
trip takes around 7/8 hs.
From Bariloche, Perito Moreno or Tres Lagos,
NR N°40, and then taking PR N° 23. |
